The community were having to travel approximately 4.5 miles away to the nearest shop since the previous shop had ceased trading in 2012. The facility is being built on farm land within an AONB which will support the local community and will be completed in the Spring 2019. The project has been partially funded by Leader Funding which supports projects in Rural Communities
